When is the best time to change the hookah bowl water?
There is no set rule for when you should change the water in your hookah. However, for taste and smoking pleasure reasons, we recommend that you change the water more frequently. Basically, you should change the water after every session, as the tobacco flavour can settle in your smoke column and bowl due to the molasses. If you use your hookah regularly, you should change the water at least every 2-3 days. If you rarely use your hookah or do not use it for several days in a row, it is recommended to empty the bottles after the last session and refill it before the next one.
It is important that you rinse your smoke column and the dip tube after each session or even clean the inside with a smoke column brush. We also recommend changing the water. Fresh water and a clean hookah are fundamental prerequisites for an optimal and long-lasting taste experience. In addition, nothing will go bad in your hookah and you will enjoy it for a long time.
Another disadvantage of smoking hookah with different flavours is that the flavours mix if the pipe is not cleaned regularly or the water is not emptied. This, of course, does not have a particularly positive effect on the taste. It is recommended to change the hookah water after 2-3 heads to experience a perfect taste experience. This serves to ensure that the tastes of the different heads do not mix.
If you do not always want to clean your smoke column completely, you can integrate a molasses catcher between the smoke column and the head. This has the great advantage that it catches the molasses that runs down and is thus spared.
