The choice of tobacco bowls is not made easy these days. There are many great hookah bowls from different manufacturers on the market.

The most common hookah heads is the multi-hole bowl. There are different versions of this. A multi-hole clay bowl is usually included in the scope of delivery of a hookah. But there are also multi-hole bowls made of stone, silicone and even glass. The holes create a comfortable and easy draft. In addition, the heat is evenly distributed thanks to the multiple holes. Use a tobacco strainer to prevent the tobacco from clogging the holes and thereby reducing the draft.

In contrast to multi-hole heads, a phunnel only has one hole protruding in the middle. The tobacco is distributed around the hole. This has the advantage that no tobacco residues fall into the dip tube and thus the taste is not adulterated and the draft is not impaired. The market offers you a wide selection of different Phunnels from well-known manufacturers such as Oblako, Kalifa, Hookain or 2x2. But not only the manufacturers mentioned above produce first-class and massive single-hole bowls. Manufacturers such as ATH or Aladin also produce first-class and massive phunnels, which are extremely heat-resistant and convince with their quality.

Regardless of whether you choose a multi-hole head or a phunnel, you need the right cleaning and care to enjoy your bowl for as long as possible. It is important to consider the material of the tobacco bowl.

Unglazed clay bowl
Clay bowls without glaze are usually more difficult to clean because the tobacco and molasses residues usually stick stubbornly to the rough surface. We recommend placing your head in warm water for 5 - 10 minutes and then wiping away the last remains with a sponge if necessary.

Glazed clay bowl

Glazed clay bowls are much easier to clean. Usually, it is enough to rinse your bowl with lukewarm water and let it air dry.

Unglazed stone bowl

The procedure here is similar to that for the unglazed clay bowls. Soak the head in warm water for 5 - 10 minutes and then let it air dry. If there are still residues on the bowl, you can remove them with steel wool

Glazed stone bowl

You can rinse stone bowls with glaze with warm water after use. You can then carefully remove dirt residues with a sponge.
