The e-cigarette trade association and the Bundestag announced on 22.09.2022 that with the majority of the traffic light government, the "Eighth Law for the Amendment of Excise Tax Laws" has been passed.
This means that from 14/02/2023, the sale of tax band-free substitute products such as e-cigarettes, vapes, flavors and molasses will be prohibited.
Therefore, it is advisable for every customer to buy their favorite vapes, flavors or molasses still without the additional tax.
We assume that due to cost reasons, many flavors, molasses or vapes will no longer be available.

After 02/13/2023, all legally sold products will be subject to the following additional taxes:
A 16-cent tobacco product substitute tax and a three-cent value-added tax per milliliter will be imposed, resulting in a total of 19 cents per milliliter.
- On disposable e-cigarettes with 2.0 ml of liquid, an additional €0.38 in tax is therefore due
- On 10 ml of liquid / flavor / nicotine shots will be € 1.90 in additional tax
- On 100 ml of premium liquid, base, flavors and molasses will be 19 € in additional tax
- On 1 liter of base, flavors, molasses / distilled water will be 190 € in additional tax
The following information refers exclusively to the revenue received by the tax office. Sales tax, manufacturer and distributor fees are not even considered.
